In India Alone, More than 2,500 Tickets have Already Sold Out & Sales of 20 Crores for Avatar: The Way of Water & Review

Avatar

With advance reservations totaling Rs. 30 crore, the eagerly anticipated sequel Avatar: The Way of Water opened today in theatres.

According to Box Office India, tickets for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way Of Water, which opens in theatres today (December 16), have been sold for Rs. 30 crore net. Advance reservations were incredibly common in the South, including smaller places like Vijayawada, Coimbatore, Kurnool, and Tirupati.

Despite not selling as many tickets as films like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, RRR, Brahmastra Part One Shiva, and KGF Chapter 2, the film has nonetheless generated more revenue due to higher average ticket prices. In some locations, the price of a ticket for an IMAX show might exceed Rs. 2500.

The amount is less than what Marvel’s Hollywood box office juggernauts, like the Avengers series, demanded in India.

Similar trends are observed in the United States, where James Cameron’s follow-up to his highest grossing film ever has raked in an estimated $17 million from Thursday night shows. This places it in the same category as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ($17 million), Jurassic World ($18.5 million), and The Batman ($17.6 million). This is noticeably less than front-ended superhero movies like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ($28 million), but it is viewed as a positive because superhero fare also experiences a sharp decline after the first weekend.

The public is anticipated to choose the best medium to witness Cameron’s extravaganza in Avatar 2, on the other hand, and to maintain their viewing habits.

As of Thursday morning, the movie had sold 5,49,774 tickets, according to market analyst Taran Adarsh. ” A total of 5,49,774 tickets were sold through national brands PVR, INOX, and Cinemapolis… before Thursday morning at 10 a.m. 2,30,317 tickets were sold through F and 1,72,720 through S.

In terms of box office records, the sequel may eclipse Indian and Hollywood blockbusters like Dangal, KGF: Chapter 2, and Avengers: Endgame due to its week-over-week growth in attendance. As of Wednesday, the sequel had sold one million tickets on BookMyShow.

On November 2, the movie’s trailer was revealed, and the full release is scheduled for December 16. Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, who played Jake Sully and Neytiri, respectively, reprise their roles in the sequel to the 2009 blockbuster Avatar. Along with Brendan Cowell, Stephen Lang, David Thewlis, and Kate Winslet, it also has other notable actors in pivotal parts.

In addition to English, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, it will be distributed in India in 2D, 3D, 3D Screen X, 4DX, and IMAX 3D formats.

Avatar: The Way of Water Review: An amazing sequel that captivates and enthralls

Story

James Cameron returns to the breathtaking world of Pandora in this deserving follow-up to his 2009 film Avatar, where human-turned-Na’vi Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Na’vi princess Ney’tiri (Zoe Saldaa) must take all necessary precautions to safeguard their young ones from the “sky people” (humans from earth).

Review

“Water connects all things in its way. We consider the water to be our permanent home, both before and after death. The franchise’s brilliance resides in its underlying spiritual narrative and ode to continuity of life, beyond the 3D visual spectacle that Avatar is, something we trust James Cameron to deliver. Life finds a solution. No matter what the circumstances are, love is a transformative force.

Even though its setting is fantastic, Avatar does have socio-political elements. Humans who invade and take Navi territory forcibly are called “hostiles and insurgents.” Its straightforward tale of parents and kids raises issues of race, civilization, strong opposition to the military, and environmental preservation. During the climax, parents defend their kids and their children defend their parents.

This time, the action takes place in the sea, which is just as peaceful and fascinating as the forest. From lush jungles to stunning reefs. It takes almost three hours to be transported into the enchanted world of Sully and his family, who are provided with a place of refuge from the rest of mankind by the reef people or the oceanic clan (Metkayina).

Action and emotion are strong points in the sequel. Not one is sacrificed for the other. It’s easy to be happy. The Sully family remains a unit. According to Jake Sully, this is both our biggest vulnerability and our greatest strength. The narrative exemplifies this sentiment. The concept itself isn’t really original, but the writing and art are absolutely extraordinary. Not once do you feel the need to go back to the actual world, despite the huge magnitude?

In comparison to the previous movie, which came out 13 years ago, this one has better visual effects. Similar to the first movie, the director skillfully employs 3D to enhance audience immersion in the setting and plot rather than using it as a gimmick.

IMAX 3D should be used to view Avatar 2. There is no better immersive movie experience this year than this one.

Be blue!

Age of Podcasts

In recent years, podcasting has seen a massive surge in popularity, leading many to declare it the “golden age of podcasts.” Listenership has increased exponentially, and a growing number of creators are embracing the platform as a way to connect with audiences and tell stories in new and innovative ways.

Podcasts offer a level of convenience and accessibility that few other forms of media can match. They can be listened to anywhere, at any time, and on any device, making them the perfect companion for commutes, workouts, or any other downtime on a busy day. In an age where people are constantly on the go, podcasts offer a way to stay informed, entertained, and engaged, without having to set aside dedicated time to do so.

Another factor contributing to the success of podcasts is the intimacy and connection they foster between hosts and listeners. Unlike traditional broadcast media, which can often feel impersonal and one-sided, podcasts allow hosts to speak directly to their audience, establishing a sense of rapport and community that can be difficult to achieve through other mediums.

The Convenience Factor:

Podcasts are thriving because of the level of convenience they offer to listeners. Unlike traditional media, which requires dedicated time and attention, podcasts can be listened to while doing other things, such as commuting or exercising. With the ability to listen anywhere and at any time, podcasts have become a go-to source of entertainment and information for people on the go.

The Intimacy and Connection:

One of the most significant reasons for the popularity of podcasts is the level of intimacy and connection they foster between hosts and listeners. Unlike traditional media, which can feel impersonal and one-sided, podcasts allow hosts to speak directly to their audience, establishing a sense of rapport and community. Many podcasts also encourage listener feedback and engagement, further strengthening the relationship between creators and their audience.

The Low Barrier to Entry:

With relatively low barriers to entry and minimal overhead costs, anyone with an idea and a microphone can start their own podcast and share their unique story or perspective with the world. This has led to a proliferation of niche podcasts covering topics ranging from true crime to sports to politics, providing a wealth of options for listeners looking to explore new interests or find content tailored to their specific tastes.

The Power of Storytelling:

Podcasts have become a powerful platform for storytelling, allowing creators to tell long-form stories in a way that other media cannot. With the ability to delve deep into a topic or narrative, podcasts have become a preferred medium for investigative journalism, true crime, and personal storytelling.

The Rise of Audio Fiction:

Audio fiction has become increasingly popular in recent years, with podcasts providing a platform for writers to create immersive stories that engage listeners in a way that traditional media cannot. With the ability to create a rich soundscape and vivid characters, audio fiction podcasts have become a favorite among fiction fans.

The Flexibility of Format:

Unlike traditional media, which is often constrained by format, podcasts offer creators the flexibility to experiment with different formats and structures. This has led to a proliferation of podcasts that range from short-form news updates to long-form interviews to serialized fiction.

The Personalization of Advertising:

Podcasts have become an increasingly attractive platform for advertisers, with the ability to target ads to specific demographics and interests. As a result, podcast advertising has become more personalized and relevant, leading to higher engagement and conversion rates.

The Global Reach:

With the ability to reach a global audience, podcasts have become a powerful tool for creators to connect with listeners from around the world. This has led to a diversification of perspectives and voices, with podcasts providing a platform for underrepresented communities to share their stories and perspectives.

The Evolving Technology:

As technology continues to evolve, so too does the podcasting industry. With new innovations in audio production and distribution, podcast creators have more tools than ever to create high-quality content and reach wider audiences.

The Future of Podcasting:

As podcasting continues to grow and evolve, it’s clear that it has become an essential part of the media landscape. With a diverse range of voices and perspectives, a flexible format, and the ability to reach a global audience, podcasts are poised to become an increasingly important platform for storytelling, education, and entertainment in the years to come.

Conclusion

The golden age of podcasts is a testament to the power and appeal of audio content. With a level of convenience and accessibility that few other forms of media can match, podcasts have become an essential part of the media landscape, offering a platform for diverse voices and perspectives to be heard. The intimacy and connection fostered between hosts and listeners, the low barrier to entry, and the flexibility of format have all contributed to the popularity of podcasts. As technology continues to evolve and the podcasting industry matures, it’s likely that we’ll see even more exciting developments in the world of audio content in the years to come. The future of podcasting is bright, and we can expect it to continue to play an essential role in storytelling, education, and entertainment.
